Allan Scott, screenwriter and producer of the Netflix hit The Queen’s Gambit, has advised the BBC he stayed trustworthy to the guide.
However he says that, whereas the streaming sequence is “taken straight from Walter Tevis’s creativeness”, he did get pleasure from listening to from an actual life chess grandmaster.
