Hundreds of cold-stunned turtles have been rescued as temperatures dropped to report lows in Texas this month. Now they’re being returned to Gulf of Mexico.
Sea turtles are susceptible to chilly waters, which hinders their motion.
“They’re going to drown within the water if not rescued,” stated Wendy Knight of the non-profit Sea Turtle Inc.
