The Nasa rover, Perseverance, has efficiently landed on the floor of Mars, seven months after leaving Earth.
Its touchdown, on the Jezero Crater, means work can now start on looking for proof of historical life on the Crimson Planet.
To do that, the robotic will drill and acquire samples of rock and soil for evaluation at a later date.
