Epiphany: Orthodox Christians throughout Russia courageous icy dip

19 January is a big day for Orthodox Christians throughout Russia, together with President Vladimir Putin. It is a day reserved for commemorating the baptism of Jesus within the River Jordan, and it is referred to as Epiphany. Although temperatures are as little as -20 Celsius, some celebrated this by submerging themselves in ice-cold water.
